L’Oréal Spring Insights
This April, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the L’Oréal Spring Insights Programme 2026.
It was a deep dive into life and career at the global beauty industry across different functions (e.g. marketing, finance, supply chain, and more) as well as workshops on personal branding, CV, and assessment centres that helped to upskill and equip me for early careers.
A few sessions particularly stood out to me. The “Deep Dive into Marketing” highlighted the challenge of capturing attention in today’s fast-paced digital landscape, and how brands must constantly evolve to maintain long-term engagement. The “Deep Dive into Advocacy & Social” gave a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at how influencer partnerships are strategically used to build both reach and long-term brand engagement.
The Personal Branding workshop led by Alberta Mason was my highlight of the week, and the reason why I felt encouraged to create this website. In this competitive world where so many young individuals have successful achievements in academics, extracurricular activities, and internship opportunities, Alberta emphasised the idea that “personal brand is the one thing that differentiates you”. She taught all of us the importance of the ladder of belief: your thoughts become things, so believing that you will succeed really matters. And to believe in ourselves, she guided us through different approaches including “The Wonder Woman” pose which helps us calm our nerves, and role playing our interview which helps to create familiarity. The workshop not only contributed to my self-development professionally, but also personally. It reminded me that as a person who likes to journal and reflect on my experiences, it is also importance to showcase it and really put myself out there. As she mentioned, “no one should care about your career as much as you do” and I felt motivated to put my all into the career I want to pursue.
Beyond the sessions, the warmth, openness, and passion of all professionals made the experience especially memorable.
It was a very insightful and delightful experience, and I am beyond grateful to have participated in this Insights Week.
